Founder and Executive Chairman

In 2011 I set up Jump as I felt organisations large and small want to motivate action amongst their people around wellbeing and the planet, and a professional team dedicated to this purpose would help them accelerate their journey.  I’m also proud to chair the Reward Gateway Foundation which supports organisations and projects that address inequality and disadvantage, with the ultimate mission of making the world a better, fairer, safer and more equal place to work.

Now, as Executive Chairman of Jump I tend to the background operations that keep Jump running smoothly.  For much of my 35 year career I’ve been immersed in environmental issues, particularly how to engage people in practical action.  Previously I built Trees for Cities from start-up to a global, award-winning charity as its founding chief executive, and I loved developing new initiatives such as The Edible Playground and the Million Trees Campaign.

I ensure Jump stays ahead of the curve when it comes to using technology to engage individuals and teams. Smart use of technology is at the heart of what we do, but making this technology work for our people is how we ensure real change happens. We’re constantly looking at ways we can help users learn more about what it means to be sustainable or improve their wellness and the steps they can take to achieve this.

I joined Jump in 2013 and found that my experience in e-commerce and a MSc in Sustainable Development were a good foundation for the work that we do. I love the challenge of applying our innovative platform to different clients and workplace cultures to ensure they get the most engagement as possible, rewarding those who achieve the most is fun too!

Katie Rees

Head of Programmes

I oversee the wide range of programmes that the Jump Programme Team. We’re constantly thinking creatively to enhance our programmes, and in doing so reduce environmental impact and boost wellbeing. I’m passionate about the connection between personal wellbeing and environmental sustainability and it’s a pleasure bring these two together through the Jump programmes!

Through my career I’ve been a facilitator of youth workshops around social action, and delivered comms for the data-focused charity, 360Giving. Previously I worked as LSE’s Sustainability Engagement Officer, managing their Sustainability Communications and Engagement Strategy. Alongside these I’ve volunteered and am a Trustee for a girls education charity based in Tanzania called Tz Rising.
